Between January and February 2020 Pablo Girolami and Giacomo Todeschi have been guests at CID for the development from duet to quintet of the show entitled Manbuhsa.

Paolo Girolami extended his first creation to a wider duration and modified the choreography. In this new version, he involved artists from Germany, Portugal and Spain.

The concept of the research takes up the idea of urban exodus and the exploration of the feeling of insecurity that comes with it. It also considers the negative aspects of urbanization that sometimes lead to a feeling of being caged.

Starting from this conflict, a feeling of trust develops and leads to an educational relationship aimed at personal reflection and self-discovery. The movements and some choreographic elements recall some images of "animal courtship". This work is therefore inspired both by the daily, urban movement of man and by the quality of the instinctive and wild movement of animals.

During the residency, there has been also a moment of sharing between artists, critics and operators and a workshop open to the students of the Liceo Coreutico Bonporti of Trento.

Finally, at the end of the residency, the work was presented (in collaboration with MART Museo d'arte contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto and Centro Culturale S. Chiara) inside MART museum as part of the initiative "Aperitivi in Danza", open to the public and with an happy hour at the end.

Pablo Girolami and Giacomo Todeschi have been selected for 2020 by ResiDance XL: action of the Anticorpi XL Network - Network Giovane Danza D'Autore, coordinated by L'arboreto - Teatro Dimora di Mondaino and of which CID and Festival Oriente Occidente are also part. The network supports the search for choreographers and dancers who wish to experience residencies in order to reflect and act on the processes of artistic creation.
