Through ResiDance XL: new action of Rete Anticorpi XL - Network Giovane Danza D'Autore, coordinated by L'arboreto - Teatro Dimora di Mondaino of which the Festival and CID are part, Cie MF of Francesco Colaleo and Maxime Freixas develop in creative residency at CID the new Farde-Moi project.
The work designed for five performers, wants to explore the theme of identity in today's society. Make-up, conceived as prestige or maquillage, is the medium that sensitively brings magic and reality together.
Every day we observe masquerades shown in the theatre of life: from the clothes we wear to the trappings chosen to belong to this world. We have a series of masks to use when necessary: for work, for friends, for family, for strangers, for love and for lovers... masks that we have learned to dress instinctively and that deny the possibility of showing our true face. A work on group listening and, at the same time, on individuality, on the difference between parody and imitation, between identification and interpretation.
A creative process that wants to probe, with the language of contemporary dance, a theme that the theater has inhabited for a long time: humor and the feeling of the opposite.
Farde-Moi wants to express human complexity with lightness, establishing an empathic, direct, deep and lasting contact with the observer, through a reflection that starts and moves from the body.
