Associated artist of Oriente Occidente Festival during the two-year period 2019-2020, Pietro Marullo creates visionary works based on multidisciplinary researches and philosophical questions. The pillar of all his hybrid and emphatic work is the matter. The matter links symbols and senses, kinetic dimensions and interior ones. The 2019 project called “HIVE – our hydrological need of cosmic lines” develops a powerful aesthetic and anthropological reflection starting from Michelangelo’s Tondo Doni. From this representation of the Holy Family, he digs in the mysterious origins of the concept itself of family, making it broader and wider, expanding in a dreamlike way to the whole livings.

A community of dancers find themselves around a cubic structure wrapped by colourful fabrics, a structure that evolves through the scenic space, like an untied knot.
